YOUR STAY AT NORTH CHANNEL COTTAGES
​At North Channel Cottages we have created an atmosphere that allows guests to recharge and reconnect with each other; without the distraction of technology, emails and social media. At our lodge, we do not offer Wi-Fi and cell reception is limited at best due to being at the southern end of the Canadian Shield. After you’re settled in with your family and friends on your own beautiful deck you won’t miss your phone, we guarantee it! There is always something to explore on the French River, it you aren't sure what to do next just ask Andrew.

Our location features 14.5 kilometers of unblemished Canadian Shield shoreline that is full of natural rock cuts, endless trees and there’s always a chance to see wildlife as you explore the French River such as beaver, moose and of course the resident bald eagles.
Our lodge offers 7 clean and modern cottages ranging from 1 to 3 bedrooms. All of our cottages are just steps from the water and each have their own deck with patio furniture and a BBQ with a filled propane tank. Each cottage comes equipped with bed linens, pillows, a kitchen fully stocked with cookware. They also have Satellite TV for the times the weather doesn’t co-operate or you need a break from the sun.
At North Channel Cottages we have put the focus on families - from the set up of our beach to our weekly crafts
(depending on Covid) for children of all ages. Our private beach features a swimming area with a water slide, beach chairs and plenty of docks that you can jump from when you need a quick dip into the water.
We also offer free and unlimited of our non motorized water equipment; which includes 7 paddleboards, 7 kayaks and 3 canoes. Guests are welcome to use our equipment to explore the French River from Devil’s Door to Cedar Rapids. Our calm section of the French River is also a great place to fish, there’s plenty of walleye, pike, smallmouth bass, perch, huge catfish and of course our favourite; Muskie! Our 14.5 kms of river is set between two sets of rapids which helps to limit fishing pressure and the number of boats buzzing you when you’re setting the hook. We have 3 14’ Mirrocraft boats available for rent.
